Two young artists combine their talents to transform this 1893 Kansas farmhouse

The landscape of rural Kansas is dotted with quaint farmhouses but none may be as sweet as the Floyd family's Bryarton Farm. Michael and Sara Jo purchased this rustic fixer-upper and the 4.5 acres of land it is situated on back in 2014. Their dream was to transform the 1893 farmhouse into their forever home. Much of the work has been done by this artist couple and it is easy to see that they have a knack for farmhouse design.
The rooms are bright and welcoming, filled with soft neutral colors and warm wood furniture. Curving archways provide access to rooms on the main floor and thick, decorative trim lines the doorways. Sara has accented the home with some of colorful, farm-themed paintings, as well as greenery selected from the landscape outside.

One of the most stunning renovation projects is the home's main bathroom. It features a clawfoot tub, white wainscotting and wallpaper with a subtle Moroccan detail. It will be exciting to see the home's progress in the years to come as this creative couple make it their own.

A large curved archway leads into this elegant farmhouse living room.
One corner of the living room has been designed to accommodate a good book and a hot cup of coffee on a sunny, summer morning.
The master bedroom's black iron bed is softened by plentiful selection of pillows and bedding.
A sliver of red brick adds some rustic charm to this fresh bathroom renovation.
The classic, free-standing tub is accented by a traditional plumbing installation and coordinating curtain rod.
