See how one Texas couple breathed new life into their 1911 farmhouse

Creative people often gather inspiration from their environment, whether that be the structure that they call home or the area surrounding it. So it's no surprise that Harper and Jimmy Quill of South Austin, Texas chose to inject their personal brand of style into their restored 1911 farmhouse. The exterior of the home features an expansive wraparound porch with traditional beadboard flooring and a neutral color palette. In addition, an evening visit on the back porch provides a clear view of the lights of Austin in the distance.
The neutral theme of the home's exterior is quickly stripped away upon gaining access to the entrance. A selection of rich, vibrant colors and vintage art pieces accent much of this 4000 square foot farmhouse. Each room showcases an eclectic gallery of vintage and reclaimed items, each of which have been carefully chosen by the homeowners. Kitchen hardware, treated in a bath of sulphuric acid, and a 100+ year old lighting fixture from a retired train car add character to the home's classic white kitchen. Unusual finds, like a vintage car mirror in one of the home's 3 bathrooms, can also be found throughout the residence.
