A very impressive bathroom takes the cake in a beautifully designed 3-bedroom Craftsman home

Finding a beautiful, affordable home in Los Angeles can be quite a challenge. Often, people think that a home built in 1915 is going to be really old and ugly. This Craftsman home breaks that mold. According to Arts & Crafts Style, the Craftsman home originated with Gustav Stickley, and a true Craftsman home is on that was built from plans Stickley published in his magazine, The Craftsman. Anything that mimics that style has also become known as a Craftsman home.
With 1,397 square feet (130 square meters), this home has three bedrooms and two bathrooms. It's been recently remodeled and beautifully updated. The beauty of the old has been blended with the new to create a welcoming, yet upscale, atmosphere. All the hardwood floors are original to the 1915 house.

Following the typical Craftsman layout, this home has an open floor plan and wooden support beams. Its large number of windows allows the sunlight to naturally brighten the interior. Covering what would have been the natural wood color with white paint, helps update the interior.
The kitchen has all new marble countertops, stainless steel appliances and custom cabinets. It's done in clean black and white and has a sleek, contemporary look to it.
One of the bedroom opens onto a deck, and the light blue walls beautifully compliments the rich wood flooring.
The pièce de résistance, though, is the bathroom. Beautiful marble countertops and tile backsplashes appeal to the modern eye. Two sinks are in this bathroom and plenty of counterspace. The mirror at the end of the bathroom helps keep the room feeling large; yet staying true to the home's 1915 roots, the original floor tiles are still there.
A second bedroom is decorated with gray walls, again complimenting the hardwood floors.
The third bedroom is also done in gray and white, and the mirror on the closet helps make the room seem spacious.
The second bathroom also sports its original tile work, yet has a beautiful marble countertop. It is also a full-sized bathroom; and although, it's not as big as the first one, it's still quite spacious.
A small deck is off the back of the house and a spacious backyard. Synthesizing the old with the new has turned out a eye-popping result with a dreamy bathroom. Who said that you can't remake something old into something wonderful and new?
