Step inside a newly-built farmhouse, and try not to envy its stunning kitchen

When a house is built from scratch, with every detail considered by the homeowners themselves, it is bound to feel like home from the outset. In like manner, the farmhouse featured here began with a dream and a hand-drawn sketch. From there the vision began to take form and a classic country home, complete with a wraparound porch, chef's kitchen and lofty interior ceilings, was built.
Built to last, J Lee Farmhouse is clad in traditional building materials like cedar shake shingles and stone. The spacious porch is supported by 6 sturdy white columns that really pop against the home's deep gray-blue siding. The home's interior continues in the color scheme and style of the exterior with its traditional and modern elements. The two-storey entrance simultaneously feels grand and welcoming with its lofty ceilings and shiplap paneled walls. Natural materials such as brick, wood and stone accent every room of the house.

The backsplash in the kitchen is equally beautiful with its sequence of metallic rectangular and hexagonal tile.
