When farmhouse decor is your passion, and your business, it's natural for that love to overflow into the design of your home. This is definitely the case in the home of Kaylie, owner of Mulberry Market Designs and the creator of the Instagram account, 'Circa 1902'. Located in the small town of Plant City, Florida, this well-maintained Queen Anne cottage features a plethora of original details accented by Kaylie's farmhouse leanings. The home was originally built by Albert Schneider for his new bride, Anne, in 1902. Thankfully, many of the homes impressive architectural features have been lovingly preserved over the years. For example, the elegant entrance doors, complete with a curved metal inlay, were handcrafted by a local carpenter at the turn of the century.
The large kitchen windows, while certainly not up to today's energy-efficient standards, contain ripples that slightly the distort the view, an aspect common in older windows. Each of these elements creates a unique foundation for Kaylie's elegant, yet rustic, aesthetic, and make the home truly memorable.
